While most people hope for eternal peace and wealth in heaven, this novel tells that heaven is actually a great system of supermarkets, where you are forced to work almost as in a labour-camp after your death. The worst of all is that you can not even commit suicide so you could run away from it all but must always think how to sell more and gain more money, because this is the only way to get away from your pain and troubles. The happy ending comes when the storyteller finally manages to run away from heaven and finds his peace on earth.
